I think you can get to Palamino via skyway, however this is a chain (parking in Lasalle Plaza..heated!), as is Capital Grill across the street and Fogo de Chao next door. Chain's aren''t ever very impressive ;) Chambers Kitchen is close, with valet, but I've not had a great meal there in 3 attempts so I will let someone else recommend it.

My husband will be in Passau, Germany next week for a conference. Any suggestions for worthwhile places to eat/drink in the area? My favorite dish at Polonia is the veal schnitzel, and they also have a good Czech beer on tap. A waitress told me that Polish beer is even better, but they can't sell it. There is a Polish Festival on April 30/May 1, just across Blalock on the west side, and a bit further south of the store.

Heyhey, Question for you BCN experts: Do you know any restaurants with a) a chef's table or private table and b) a chef willing to add some thanksgiving twists to his dishes (just for the sake of an example: suckling pig with some sort of catalan stuffing - along those lines) ?

Coya ultimately infuriated me with their rushed service (at 10pm) when after waiting a half hour for a waiter to appear, we were told to order "all at once" as the kitchen was closing. It's a great place, though, for a guy to take a woman for a date. VERY easy for her to be impressed by the vibe. The food is nicely presented.

Hey there. Just wanted to report on Mandu, a Korean restaurant right on 18th street between Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle (near Rosemary's Thyme and Lauriol Plaza.) I hadn't heard of it before, but I was really quite impressed by the food. I had bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, for $11.95, and it was copious and yummy.

I used to go to the Grand Ticino (Thompson St. btw. Bleecker & W. 3rd)about once a year during the 1980's and most of the 1990's. Last year I tried calling them and found out that they had closed down (after many decades of being in business). I must have missed the announcement in the Times because this came out of the blue.

Try a smaller place that specializes in mandu and dumplings. Hodori and Nakwon pretty much thrive because they're conveniently open 24 hours. I haven't really found a place I love for mandu, though.

My favorite of all was “Roasted Pork Meat Loaf” which humble sounding or no hit the spot of all the main courses for me. Sauerkraut and red cabbage and potatoes came on the side. Sweetish kraut which is not my personal favorite but authentic and certainly went well with the dishes.

I'm going to be in town in November and in addition to all the lovely Catalan food and Cocina del Autor, I would very much like to find a place with a really good Arroz Negro - I've had excellent ones in Madrid and Sitges, but never in BCN - so any suggestions would be especially welcome.

The anago and even tamago were flavorful with nice texture while the portion of the uni, served gunkan style, was rather stingy. Overall, it was a very good experience. I did not expect to see high quality and well-prepared ingredients such as herring roe, monkfish liver, shirako etc. in Malaysia.

When I was a kid, every Chinese restaurant in the area had a soup on the menu called Yatka Mein Soup. It was basically noodle soup with strips of shredded pork. The noodles were always flat, long, and maybe 1/8" wide. With one exception - South Pacific in Newton - I don't see it around at all anymore.

I was in Hong Kong and China earlier this year. I love Chinese food, especially Cantonese, but I don’t think that Chinese is one of the cuisines that is best represented in London, by which I mean that there are other cuisines that are done much better in London and that London is by no means the best city outside Asia in which to eat Chinese.

However, there's MAOA on Leipziger Platz which is definitely in walking distance, offering Asian fusion and Mongolian-type buffets. If you like fish and seafood, there's a place for that on Alte Potsdamer. I haven't been there myself, but it looks decent enough from the outside.

Go directly to Hevin. Period. (Store in 7th is on R.La Motte Piquet, right at top of Rue Cler also store in 8th is on St. Honore). They typically have about 12 varieties of chocolate bars - each from a distinct region and a distinct taste. Even their milk chocolate is good (and I hate milk chocolate). Truffles and pastries good too.

The La Luna Negra "paella" is not even considered paella in my book; it borders on inedible, as is most of the food in that place. In my opinion, La Luna Negra is a Central American eatery passing itself off as a Spanish restaurant, just like Bar Celona down the street.

I've tried Bar Celona (tapas) but not Luna Negra. I liked Bar Celona, but I don't have many points of comparison for tapas. I went to Japon Bistro a couple of times, and liked it well enough, but when I'm in the mood for sushi in the area I usually wind up in Alhambra, at Z Sushi.

Basically resembles very thick dark (near black), slightly chunky motor oil over a bowl of noodles. I love this dish but cannot find it locally (aka in the city or Chinatown). A friend at work mentioned he orders a dish at Moon Palace called "Cha chiang mein" that to him sounded like what I am looking for, but is not on the English menu.
